Too Many Sunrises
When my book is published, I'd like to submit that as the title for publisher consideration - at least it could be used as a working title.
Too many sunrises. Meant not as a bad thing to SEE too many sunrises, meant as a bad thing that I have MISSED too many sunrises.
I've missed:
Too many sunrises that bring the promise of a new day.
Too many sunrises that empower one to know that THIS NEW DAY will be great.
Too many sunrises that inspire one to earn the blessings that will come by being faithful to make it a worthwhile 24 hours.
Too many sunrises that show the perfection and inspiration of a higher power.
Too many sunrises that are so rife with color and brilliance that the question "Is there a God?" somehow seems to fade away and be filed in the category of "ridiculous questions" with the fading of the color of the night just passed.
I will train anyone at anytime at gym, track, stadium, etc. But I believe those that have the commitment to work out first thing in the morning will have a special blessing in their day. And I look forward to having those that will drive ME to get out of bed and MOVE!
The last five years have been a time of trial, formation, dedication, education and commitment. I've proved many things to myself, many things to others and become comfortable with myself. Comfortable enough to walk away from a business that was everything I had worked for, but not really who I was. Comfortable enough to know that those who saw me walk away from it and launch into something new would know that I was not a quitter, but that my commitment to make them better through health and fitness was EVEN STRONGER than what I had accomplished so far. And if working 7 day, 80 hour weeks for 5 years isn't a commitment, I don't know what is.
I've worked a ridiculous schedule and juggled many tasks - often all at once. Because of what I had "created" for myself, I had worn myself out to the point where even having the energy and drive to wake up early enough to see the glory of a new day was not remotely possible. My immune system was shot and so was my drive. Where do YOU stand today?
In a rare departure from my often rant-like commentary, it seems a good day and moment in the middle of the holiday season to reflect on what has passed this year and what is to come even only a month from now. Even a month from today, I will be thrust into a full-time operation of what I have worked six-months to prepare for. Actually, it is more like 10+ years of preparation in a long long roundabout path that was unveiled six months ago in somewhat of a miraculous fashion.
Often it might seem that my topics are directed at people in such a way that is to be discouraging and negative? I can assure you that that is not the case. The case is to bring to light the poor way in which we ALL, including myself, have been marketed to and influenced by EVERYONE in charge of our food supply and medical system to keep us as SLAVES and not to FREE us to truly be what we are supposed to be - whatever that is for each of us is different. There is POWER IN FREEDOM, and many of the powers that be - even in this free country of ours, don't truly want that for us. This is why the likes of Castro, Chavez, Kim Jong-il, etc. can only survive by keeping their people without freedom. The taste of freedom provides life and rebirth in an incomparable way to any other force of nature.
People's first question when I discuss proper nutrition and supplementation is "Man that junk doesn't work does it?" This is like asking someone where they get their hair cut and "Do they do a good job?" Why the frick would someone continue going to the same haircutting center if they did a poor job? And is it not an insult to that person to question their hair? With 10% bodyfat and with a feeling of rejuvenation and energy that I've never had before, people skeptically question the line of nutritionals that I work with. And I wonder, not in a self-centered way, why they feel like this? Why would I promote something that I don't believe in myself if I haven't used it and had my life changed by it? Probably because many crackpots and charlatans have come before and pushed something just to make a buck - not to actually change lives. If it didn't work, and if I didn't commit to it, would I be in the shape that I am and feel like I do? I daresay not.
Often my writing is directed at MYSELF as the example after having had little unfortunate things slip into my own mindset and take hold over time. As bizarre as it may seem, the real-world education that I received in marketing allows me to see through the advertising that is done over time to change our actions as a whole society. Even though I was headed down the wrong ultimate path, I can see why it was that I was taken down that route for a season. The best defense in this case is a strong offense, and if I can counter any of the marketing that we receive that keeps us as sheep headed to the slaughter with my OWN marketing campaign, even if I AM THE ONE THAT SEEMS LIKE THE FOOL AT FIRST, enough people will hear enough times and begin to re-examine their own lives.
After the hardest year of my short life in 2004, I had slipped away from something I had always been committed to - health, nutrition and fitness. And my FIRST commitment to myself when 2005 began was to get that back in order. And when I did, my life changed forever. I was 20 lbs overweight, out of shape and sick more than I had ever been. And my testimony would be completely empty if I hadn't had that experience to know that I have been there and I've bounced back and I can help YOU to do the same if you will follow my coaching and leading. From fitness to nutrition to supplementation, IF YOU COMMIT TO FOLLOW WHAT I TELL YOU TO DO, YOUR LIFE AND LIFESTYLE WILL CHANGE. If not, and if you think that you're only being "sold" something, then you can resolve yourself to be in the same situation as long as that is your mindset. I will not beg, I will not follow you around, I will not harass you with phone calls but I WILL get better every day - if even only a little bit. And the further I go towards my goals, the more you will see that change is good and change is necessary if we are to stay committed and relevant.
As stated, often times my writing is directed at others and often times my writing is directed at myself. But ALL OF THE TIME my writing is directed at the goal of making ALL of us a healthier, more aware and committed commUNITY. I capitalize UNITY in commUNITY as it is impossible to have commUNITY without it. Maybe there's another book title - Community without Unity: It just doesn't work.
Margaret Mead said: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
Over these holidays, whether you are taking two weeks off or working straight through, I implore you to reflect on this past year and to ponder what is to come. Will you change the world? Will you follow your dream and your calling? Will you make your health the cornerstone of achieving that? Will you stay somewhere where you know you're not supposed to be because society or family or friends say that you should stay there and be comfortable - or uncomfortable as the case may be - knowing that you're not being true to yourself? Will you start next year STRONG or beaten down by the naysayers and negatives?
This past six months is only the beginning of what is to come in my life. I invite you to stay in tune with what we are doing. I invite you to invest in yourself and your health. I invite you to the life-affirming freedom that that will bring. I invite you to be forever changed and to have your eyes opened to the matrix of health, pharmaceutical and disease-related slavery that surrounds us.
Welcome to your life, your health is calling.
Have a strong day,
bravo out

Segway. Furthering the downfall of the United States.
The Segway replaces a perfectly normal and valuable expenditure of energy known as "walking." The term is getting foggier and foggier in people's minds as to what that type of exercise even is. It involves bending the legs at the knees, hips, ankles and placing one foot in front of the other to move oneself forward through life. People rarely will get up and walk for exercise, much less run. And now we have yet another reason to make even walking a "thing of the past." We have enough lazy people, why not make it easier for more to be lazy and increase that segment of our society to the point where they overburden our health care and insurance systems.
Some young student to their parents this holiday season: "OOOOH! Mom and dad! Can i get a Segway for Christmas??!?"
Parents: "No son, we'd like to see you live to be at least 25. We'd like to remind you of a recent popular saying: 'WWJD?' Which means 'What Would Jesus Drive?' You might have seen this on bumper stickers, hats, shirts, bracelets, and many other fine merchandise items available in stores everywhere. Do you think Jesus would be caught dead riding a Segway around the middle eastern flippin' wilderness in sandals and a toga? What kind of example would THAT be?? No, he would be saying, 'I've come to give you life and give you life more abundantly and hold you accountable which means you have to use your God-given blessings of walking and running to receive this abundant life or I will pimp-slap some of you stupid b*tches and keep moving to the next town. I'm here to represent.' So son, head off to bed and when you come down tomorrow morning to open your thanksgiving presents you better be giving thanks for your health because so many in our society do not have it and try to come up with a new list for Christmas. It's only 20-some-odd days away."
You can even attach it to your vehicle such that when you arrive at the mall, you don't even have to walk if you didn't find a spot close to the door! Just hop on the Segway and ride til your little weak heart's content.
These types of companies should have a Health Care System Burden Tax placed on them to offset the damage they are doing in broad stroke to our citizens by marketing and pushing these types of products through slick marketing and branding.
* Yes, our health care system will collapse. Do not be surprised.
* Yes, you will be a victim. Change your lifestyle now - even if you only do it little by little.
* Yes, it will be the downfall of the greatest country in the world that was BUILT ON hard work and fortitude. God save us.
Just yesterday a report on the cable news came out saying that even though American's are constantly bombarded with the need to exercise even MODERATELY for 30 minutes 4 or 5 times a week, we are still not taking action. And then one day, our health care system will be overwhelmed and YOU and I will have to carry the burden of an entire generation (if not multiple generations) of effortless people who have created this for themselves and now we have to pay higher premiums for that. But thats fair right?
Hoping against all hope, we can pray that the cost of entry for a Segway will be a barrier that many will not want to cross. Weighing the options between, "hm, should i spent thousands of dollars to not walk and then have that lead to even many more thousands of dollars in health care costs for myself in the future because I have been so lazy?" or "you know what, should I spend money on something that I can do naturally and for FREE?"
I'm just waiting for the Segway advertisement comparable to a car dealer's. At a car dealer they want you to trade in your old car for a new one! But at a Segway dealer? What can you trade in for one of those? "Come down this weekend to your local Segway shop! Trade in your legs for a two wheeled machine! Don't worry about your legs you won't need them anymore - we offer free amputations on site! Yes, you're a bit closer to being Darth Vader by not having any legs, but he was a Lord among men. You can be too. Plus, all of you lazy people out there are overwhelming the fast growing Restless Leg Syndrome society and we need to help keep their numbers down as they have grown too quickly and cannot handle all of those individuals that are now claming to have restless legs. Please, help us help them with a $1,000 rebate towards your Segway today. Call 1-800-What-Legs-Who-Needs-Them? for the location of your nearest dealer."
THE ONLY CASE A SEGWAY SHOULD BE USED IS IN THE CASE OF SOMEONE WHO IS PHYSICALLY INCAPACITATED AND CANNOT UTILIZE THEIR BODILY / MOTOR FUNCTIONS.
Perhaps someone with Mutiple Sclerosis. ALS. CP. Disabled War Veterans. etc. could benefit best. NOT THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN BLESSED ENOUGH TO HAVE HEALTH AND VITALITY.
And now they have accessories and "off road" upgrades to their walk-replacer-machines. And we can think of no better way to spend our hard earned income than on yet another "something" to destroy ourselves and our health?
I won't even dignifiy their website advancement in the search engines with a link. If you would like to see their site that bad, have at it by doing a search yourself. It won't take long, and you'll hate yourself in the morning for wasting time there.
Get ready for a national marketing campaign (tv, radio, print) and a new dealer to open in your area if they haven't opened already. Note the healthy-looking, attractive individuals that they have selected to ride their machines. Do you think they have gotten to that level in their modeling and television presence experience and had gotten the call-back to be in a commercial because they geniunely like and use Segway's every day? No. They are in shape because they DON'T live like that. Be sure to not run down there to see the latest models as quickly as possible. Your life depends on it.
Have a strong day,
bravo out
